This incredibly unique, floral desert wine made with a blend of 3 Varieties of Organic Similkameen Apricots has the aromas and flavors of Mandarin Oranges, Hyacinth Flowers and a touch of ginger.  The palate is very light and refreshing with a nice spicy front and clean apricot skin finish.

Pairings

Beautiful with a creamy cheese, dried fruit and nut plate.

Pairs well with a ginger spiced Carrot Cake and Cream Cheese frosting.

A very very spicy Indian Curry is beautifully balanced by this wine.

APRICOT TWIST

*2oz Rustic Roots Apricot

*1oz Bombay Gin

*1 Fresh or Frozen Apricot

*San Pelligrino

*Key Lime Wedge

Fill Rocks glass with ice, add in fresh or frozen apricot, muddle with ice, add Apricot Wine, Gin and top with San Pelligrino and garnish with a wedge of fresh key lime

 

APRICOT MOJITO

*2oz Rustic Roots Apricot

*1oz Urban Distillers Rum

*San Pelligrino

*Lemon Lime Basil

Fill tall glass with ice, add in lemon or lime basil, muddle with ice, add Apricot Wine, Rum and top with San Pelligrino

Wine Makers Notes

I used the same yeast in this wine as they use in Gewurztraminer which gives a lot of spicy, floral perfume notes.  I enjoy the touch of bitterness on the finish of the wine which lends itself to food applications wonderfully !
