Made with 100% Certified Organic Lambert and Lapin Cherries

This is a very unique fruit wine with beautiful aromas of Leather, Earthiness and a Soft Smokiness.  The midpalate is rich with flavors of Dark Red Fruit, while the finish is very soft and creamy with very subtle tannin.  The Wine is made with a blend of 3 Varieties of Certified Organic Similkameen Cherries!  Lapin Cherry for the Sweetness, Lambert Cherry for it’s Dark Color and Sour Cherry for Acidity.


Serving Temperature: Depends on pairing.  Treat this wine like a Pinot Noir, Slightly Chilled 8-10 Degrees if served with a light salad or in the summer, or more room temperature 12-15 Celsius if served with a heavier richer dish.

Mulled Cherry Wine

*2 Bottle Rustic Roots Cherry wine

*1 Organic Cinnamon Stick

*1 Organic Star Anise

*1 tsp of Organic Cloves

*1 pod of Organic Cardamom

Mix all ingredients in a pot over medium heat bring to a simmer for no more than 5 minutes. Strain through a sieve and serve in a hot cup with a cinnamon stick to stir

Wine Makers Notes

Each year I get closer to where I want to be with the Cherry Wine, the first vintage was too high in alcohol, and lighter in color, the second vintage finished a bit too sweet but had the richness I liked and this vintage is in my opinion a perfect balance of fruit and complexity.
